Secondhand smoke exposure and current tobacco and/or nicotine use among adolescents in Kenya and Nigeria: a survey-weighted inverse probability weighting analysis.
Adolescents in Kenya and Nigeria who were exposed to secondhand smoke were significantly more likely to use tobacco or nicotine products compared to those without such exposure. The link was stronger in Nigeria than Kenya. Strengthening smoke-free policies could help protect young people from both secondhand smoke and tobacco product use.
Relevance to India: None stated.
