Physicians' Knowledge Level, Sources of Information, and Clinical Smoking Cessation Practices Regarding Electronic Cigarettes: A Cross-sectional Study in Adana, Türkiye.
A Turkish survey of 525 physicians found they had moderate-to-high knowledge about e-cigarettes, but this knowledge didn't translate into better smoking cessation counseling practices. Doctors who personally used tobacco were less likely to counsel patients on quitting, and social media was their main information source rather than medical literature.
