Nicotine pouch use among American tobacco users nearly doubled from 2021 to 2024, rising from 16.4% to 31.1% for ever-use and from 3.0% to 10.2% for current use. Growth occurred across almost all demographic groups, with younger adults and men showing higher adoption rates, and current smokeless tobacco users being particularly likely to use nicotine pouches.
