AVI opposes Tamil Nadu government's proposed e-cigarette ban

AVI met Tamil Nadu health minister Dr C Vijaya Baskar and principal health secretary Dr J Radhakrishnan in Chennai to oppose the state’s proposed e-cigarette ban, urging regulation instead. AVI presented over 4,000 pages of research and offered technical help in framing a state vaping policy. Director Samrat Chowdhery and director Pratik Gupta are quoted citing endorsements from the Royal College of Physicians, Public Health England and other bodies for the relative safety of e-cigarettes.
